Ces derniers mois plusieurs rencontres entre les quatre partis abertzale présents en Pays Basque nord ont eu lieu, afin d’arriver à un accord pour la mise en place d’une coalition abertzale pour les prochaines élections législatives de juin. Abertzaleen Batasuna, Batasuna, Eusko Alkartasuna et le Parti National Basque ont travaillé en toute discrétion, afin d’approfondir un accord et sceller cette union historique entre forces abertzale en Pays Basque nord. Euskal Herria Bai, devait être le nom de la coalition électorale basée sur un texte commun en quatre points, sur lesquels s’étaient accordés les quatre mouvements afin de souligner le besoin du travail en commun des abertzale, de défendre le droit de décision des habitants du Pays Basque et de réclamer une reconnaissance institutionnelle du Pays Basque nord.
