La Fédération internationale de l'industrie phonographique (Ifpi) a présenté un premier bilan des poursuites engagées contre des internautes fin mars 2004, en Allemagne, au Danemark et en Italie, débouchant sur quelque 200 procès.

Selon ses chiffres, l'échange de fichier sur les réseaux P2P se serait tassé depuis les premières poursuites.

En France, le Syndicat national des éditeurs phonographiques (Snep), après avoir mené une campagne d'action, s'est vu confirmé, par Patrick Devedjian, ministre délégué à l'Industrie en concertation avec Renaud Donnedieu de Vabres, ministre de la Culture et de la Communication, le lancement d'un plan national de lutte contre la piraterie.

Plusieurs sociétés d'artistes et associations de consommateurs se sont en revanche élevés contre le tout répressif.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - La mort d'Abdelaziz Moukrine et de trois autres activistes d'Al Qaïda a "considérablement affaibli" la présence du réseau islamiste en Arabie saoudite, a affirmé samedi le conseiller saoudien aux Affaires étrangères, Adel al-Djoubeïr.

Le conseiller de la monarchie, qui s'exprimait au cours d'une conférence de presse, a également assuré que le peuple saoudien était "outré" par les actes de violence des qaedistes en Arabie saoudite.

Des activistes membres du réseau Al Qaïda ont décapité vendredi l'ingénieur américain Paul Johnson, enlevé le 12 juin à Ryad.

Les autorités saoudiennes ont annoncé par la suite que le chef présumé d'Al Qaïda en Arabie saoudite, Abdelaziz Moukrine, et trois autres membres du réseau avaient été tués par les forces de sécurité alors qu'il tentait de se débarrasser du corps de l'ingénieur américain.

Adel al-Djoubeïr a cependant réfuté les informations selon lesquelles le corps de l'otage américain avait été retrouvé.

"Nous avons déterminé que M. Johnson avait été assassiné sur la base d'une analyse technique de l'enregistrement (de la décapitation) menée par des experts américains et saoudiens, mais nous ignorons encore quand M. Johnson a été assassiné et sommes toujours à la recherche de son corps", a-t-il dit.

"Nous pensons qu'avec ce coup porté hier (vendredi) à Al-Qaïda en Arabie saoudite, nous avons considérablement affaibli leur organisation", a poursuivi le conseiller du prince héritier Abdallah.

"Nous sommes déterminés à combattre le terrorisme, ceux qui le financent et ceux qui le justifient", a-t-il ajouté, promettant une lutte "sans merci".

Le gouvernement saoudien avait refusé de libérer avant vendredi tous les activistes islamistes détenus, comme l'exigeait le groupe en échange de Paul Johnson.

As game cinematics race to match the quality and excitement of movie trailers, Pendulum Studios worked closely with Absinthe Pictures to create a dramatic and cinematic product for Activision. Lower resolution poly-models from the game, developed by Spark Unlimited, were enhanced and blended into higher resolution environments. Additionally, motion capture and key frame animation were integrated by combining the capabilities of Alias’ Maya and Kaydara’s MotionBuilder (motion capture was provided by Red Eye Studios). On top of leading the 3D team’s production efforts and attacking daily technical challenges, Michael McCormick, Pendulum’s Director of 3D Animation, enjoyed implementing Maya’s fluids tools to make extraordinary explosion effects, which are seen throughout the trailer. In fact, the client was so excited about the initial Stalingrad shot that, days before the E3 conference, they requested Pendulum ‘widen the scope’; Pendulum responded by dramatically increasing the shot from 15 characters to 60 independent Russian soldiers streaming into Red Square, dodging machine gun fire, avoiding mortar explosions, and waving flags into battle.
