System Requirements Supported Operating Systems: Windows 2000, Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows XP DirectX 9.0 End-User Runtime setup minimizes the download size but requires an internet connection during setup. The DirectX 9.0 Redist is available for download for those users that do not have an internet connection available during installation or Setup has trouble connecting to the Microsoft server. The DirectX 9.0 runtime cannot be uninstalled. We recommend Windows Millennium and XP users create a “System Restore” point before installing. Tenebrae V1.03 for Quake available !
|
Tenebrae is a modification of the quake source that adds stencil shadows and per pixel lights to quake. Stencil shadows allow for realistic shadow effects on every object in the game world. Per pixel lighting allows you to have fine surface details correctly lit. These are essentially the same algorithms as used by the new Doom game.
The most important new features are:
Particle/Decal scripting
Decals
Underwater caustics
Fog
Compressed texture support
Normal map support
PNG support for textures
